MY FAVOURITE RAMEN!!! |
It's chicken-base soup that's thick, slightly creamy and not-too-salty. The soup is so delicious, I always drink it to the last drop. The ramen is chewy and char siew melts in your mouth.
Put some fried onions and sesame for more crunch. |
You can also opt for an extra egg - which I will recommend. The egg is cold on the inside and is soft and goes well with the shoyu (soya sauce) that it's marinated with.
Irresistible goodness! |
Another recommendation is the grilled char siew - grilled to perfection and as you sink your teeth into it, you'll feel the oil escape from the layer of fats in the char siew.
Season it with lemon and dip it with red chilli powder for a more wholesome taste. It makes a great dish to share (although you'll be tempted to have it all for yourself!)
Marutama originates from Tokyo, so the food is really authentic. The interior also creates an ambience that reminds one of a little food store in Japan. It's located at The Central, Liang Court and United Square.
Which ramen restaurant do you love most?
